Mohamed El-Sadeak Batah

Mohamed El-Sadeak Batah is a lifelong farmer from Egypt, with a family deeply connected to the land. Married with four children, all now grown and married, Mohamed continues to run his farm with the support of his sons—who assist in the field alongside their own careers.

“We work together like one big family,” he says. “That’s what keeps the farm strong—shared effort and understanding.”

His father was among the first to practice biodynamic agriculture in Egypt, working with Dr. Ibrahim Abouleish in the late 1990s. Inspired by this legacy, Mohamed continues to apply biodynamic principles, valuing their impact on health, the environment, and food quality.

“Clean farming benefits everyone,” he explains. “It’s not just about the product—it’s about protecting people and the land.”

Through Economy of Love, Mohamed has embraced fair trade, transparency, and ecological responsibility. For him, farming is more than a profession—it’s a way of contributing to something meaningful.

“Profit matters,” he says, “but what matters more is doing your part in life with care and purpose.”
