Economy of Love (EoL) Global is a frontier initiative that aims to unlock the transformative potential of regenerative agriculture to address the interlinked global crises of climate change, poverty, food insecurity, and biodiversity loss. Founded as a partnership between the Egyptian Biodynamic Association (EBDA)—owner of the Economy of Love Standard—and the NOW Partners Foundation, Economy of Love Global was created to scale regenerative practices across continents through market-based solutions.
At the heart of its approach are Economy of Love Carbon Credits, a trusted and high-integrity financing mechanism that empowers farmers and rural communities to adopt regenerative methods. These credits channel investments into practices that restore ecosystems, revive rural economies, and significantly sequester atmospheric carbon dioxide, making agriculture a solution rather than a driver of climate change.
The vision of Economy of Love Global is grounded in the reality that regenerative agriculture and forestry can reverse widespread soil degradation, increase biodiversity, strengthen water resilience, and improve both farmer livelihoods and consumer health. In a time of systemic polycrisis, systemic solutions are needed. Economy of Love Global represents a unique convergence of agroecological expertise, climate finance, and global partnership, designed to regenerate our soils, economies, and communities—starting from the ground up.
Economy of Love (EoL) Standard, inspired by SEKEM initiative, defines holistic sustainability across society, economy, culture, and environment. EoL supports biodynamic farmers, promotes positive impact production, carbon sequestration, and biodiversity. It ensures transparency, fair wages, and true cost accounting in validated carbon projects. Established in 2019, EoL expanded in 2021 with carbon credit issuance and governance.
The aim is to advance regenerative agriculture amid climate change using indicators like carbon sequestration, afforestation, waste recycling, and renewable energy for irrigation in Egypt and globally.
Economy of Love is owned by an organic farmer’s association, the Egyptian Biodynamic Association (EBDA), that works to support sustainable farmers, companies and consumers.
